This page is titled “About”.
I think that gives me alot of leeway about what I should write about here…
About me … I’m a spiritual being on an earthly journey…did I really just say that? I saw that once and thought it applicable, though corny. So few people understand the implications of moments of their lives. They seem to be just moments, a single breath, the blink of an eye; but these moments define our destiny and our eternity.
I love signs. I have them in my kitchen … “Count Your Blessings” … “Love is Forever” … “Kiss the Cook” … and I read that sign that says “Life is not measured in moments, but in the moments that take your breath away.” I found it to be simultaneously profound and poignant. So this sign, or portion of it, makes it into my blog title. Undoubtedly, I will blog insignificant moments to discuss and debate and criticize. But those breath taking moments — those are the important ones…the ones to remember. And I will share them with you.
With the help of my four children and my husband, I seem to find numerous opportunities to respond to life’s moments. We live in rural New York, in a small town that does not have a municipal waste treatment plant, with our two shih-tzu dogs, Mindy and Mallie. (That treatment plant statement is relevant to my life right now…maybe I’ll tell you sometime.)
My husband is a funeral director…that is a stomping ground for many moments…and I am his media specialist, which I love.
I spend a good deal of time in church related activities and my greatest desire is to help build a church that is loving, unified, and growing. Women’s ministry is important to me.
So, “About”. It’s pretty broad. I’ll leave the rest of the details to the blogging …
